Coffee cups indicate the complexity of a file, tip or article. One coffee cup is the easiest and three is the most advanced.
To download a file, click on the green arrow icon next to the listing. If there are no coffee cups
or platform icons, the listing may be an article, Quick Tip, Knowledgebase or bonus file.
There’s an error in the FileMaker Certification Study Guide. On question 8 in section 3 “Building Layouts”, the study asks you to validate a phone field and not let the user exit the field unless it contains 10 digits. The answer in the guide is to use OnObjectSave with the Exit Script step to eat the event of exiting the field. Unfortunately, OnObjectSave doesn’t have the ability to eat actions that trigger script since it runs the script after the event. This example file discusses the possible solutions.
