About John Mark Osborne

John Mark Osborne has been working with FileMaker Pro for over 20 years. He earned his FileMaker Pro degree working on the frontlines of Claris technical support. John was the Technical Lead for FileMaker, serving as an escalation path for other technical support representatives and writing a large portion of TechInfo (now called Knowledge Base), their technical information reference. John also acted as a liaison between the technical support department and the FileMaker development team, reporting bugs, attending product meetings and acting as resource for the development team.

John Mark is best known as the author of the popular FileMaker Pro web site Database Pros. The Database Pros web site has been on the internet for 20 years and gets over 10,000 visitors a month by offering free FileMaker Pro tips, tricks and techniques. Sister sites include The Philosophy of FileMaker blog and The Fireside FileMaker Podcast to round out Database Pros as the leading content provider on the internet. And, don't forget my YouTube channel!

John Mark is also well known as the co-author of the wildly popular Scriptology book and CD ROM. John Mark launched a hands-on training class based on his Scriptology book and it has become so popular that it is now taught at MacWorld Exposition in San Francisco and New York. John Mark Osborne was of the original 4 trainers authorized to teach the FileMaker Professional training from Claris International.

John Mark has been a featured speaker at the FileMaker Developer Conference for 15 years straight. At the 1999 Developer Conference, he was awarded the FileMaker Pro Excellence award for "creation of outstanding technical resources".

John Mark is a former technical editor for Advisor magazine working on the tips and tricks section which is the most popular column in the magazine. The magazine is now out of business but I'm still here!

John Mark has recorded beginner, intermediate and advanced tutorial videos for FileMaker 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 totaling more than 500 hours. Currently, he is working on videos for FileMaker 17 at Thinkific.

Payment for consulting work is based on Net 30 terms. Training classes must be paid in full 3 weeks prior to the event. Payment for products have a money back guarantee if you are not fully satisfied. See below for cancellation policies on training classes.

Guarantee
If you are dissatisfied with a class for any reason, you may retake that same class at no cost, within 60 days, provided seating is available. To qualify, submit your request in writing to Database Pros.

Refund Policies
Full payment of training course fees are required prior to the event. You may cancel or reschedule your registration up until 10 business days before the class begins. If you do not attend a class or cancel within 10 business days before your scheduled class, you are responsible for the full course fee. Participant substitutions are allowed.

Database Pros disclaims any liability in connection with any date, location, or speaker changes, or cancellation.
