See how the GetLiveTextAsJSON function in FileMaker leverages macOS machine learning to extract text from images.
Now available in FileMaker 2024, GetLiveTextAsJSON, not only pulls out text but also returns it as JSON, including X and Y coordinates that pinpoint where the text appears on the image. This advancement is invaluable for accurately interpreting and reconstructing text from specific areas of an image.
Watch this video to see the differences between GetLiveText and GetLiveTextAsJSON using an image of a mock restaurant receipt uploaded to a container field. You'll see how GetLiveText extracts the text, but the results do not display in a logical order. Then you will see how using GetLiveTextAsJSON lets you get specific data from the receipt with location awareness.
